My
initial plan was to laminate damaged material like rusted metal between
plastic, and then laminate that into wood to create a laminated back and seat.
Then I planned to have the lap layers of veneer sanded away until you can just
see the rusted metal within the seat and back.
Realistically
I don't believe this method of construction would be very difficult to Achieve, and would be near impossible to do if the chair was to be mass
produced. Another method that would achieve a similar result is to laminate
carbon fibre between the wooden veneers and then sand the wood down.
